Padded cycling shorts

Using a patented process, SQlab has succeeded in breaking down the structure of very dense foam. The result is a high level of breathability comparable to that of conventional padding, whilst maintaining complete, perfect shock absorption.

Minimisation of shear forces

Pain is generally not caused by pressure, but by shear forces acting on the periosteum, a layer of tissue that surrounds the bone. These forces are generated by pedalling and the constant movement of the saddle. The SQlab M and W pads contain a thin layer of orthopaedic TPE gel, which has been specially developed for medical purposes to minimise shear forces.
